一、项目介绍
2010年3月我校与北卡罗来纳州立大学签订协议，于每年暑假在工程、物理、生物、环境等学科合作开展暑期研究实践项目。参加项目的学生到美国北卡罗来纳州立大学相关专业实验室，在老师指导下进行研究与实践工作。
二、学校介绍
北卡罗来纳州立大学（North Carolina State University）成立于1887年，与北卡大学教堂山分校以及杜克大学是北卡科研三角区的三所支柱院校。北卡罗来纳州立大学拥有超过500项的技术专利，在专利技术力量上排名全美第3位；学校来自产业界的研究资助，排名全美第7位；在公立研究型大学中，非政府资助研究经费，排名全美第12位。在2013《美国新闻与世界报道》美国综合大学排名中名列第106位。
三、报名条件及要求
1.我校大学三年级本科生、大学四年级保送研究生同学和全日制研究生，大学二年级相当优秀者也可考虑；有相关项目工作经验者优先；
2.具有良好的英语水平和口语交流能力；
3.TOEFL: 80 or higher (At least 20 in each section of listening, writing, reading and speaking) 或 IELTS: 6.5 or higher；
4.有意报名的学生须到NCSU网站（网址如下）了解有关项目的详细情况，参加报名的学生应当为NCSU所列研究实践项目相关专业的学生。

2014年6月28日-8月1日
五、项目费用
项目费用约4,200美元（包括项目费、食宿费）。
六、报名方法及时间安排
1.报名参加项目的学生需在2014年1月10日报名截止前准备下列材料：
（2）学生短期境外学习或活动备案表（辅导员及教学副院长签字后上交纸质版）；
（3）本人护照信息页复印件；
（4） 其它材料，如获奖证书、公开发表的论文等。
2.北卡罗来纳州立大学要求的材料（需在2014年1月22日前上交扫描版）：
（1）Resume in English(one page)；
（2）Academic Records in English；
（3）TOFEL or IELTS；
（4）Personal Statement (two page limit). Please indicate your research interest, explain why you have chosen a particular field of research and demonstrate your academic background related to the chosen research area, list extracurricular actives and any leadership or volunteer experiences. In this statement do not include the names of faculty you wish to study under.
（5）List TWO faculty from the pre-approved list that match your research interests
NOTE: NCSU do not allow applicants to contact faculty directly in the beginning. Anyone who breaks the rule will be eliminated from the program automatically. Once students are accepted and the Program Coordinator has opened communication, then students can contact faculty.
3.报名的学生需将材料交到教务处本科生国际教育办公室（主楼尾楼西南角）。
